I’m happy to say my block of the month top is finished! I think it’s a happy quilt so I’m calling it Fiesta.
This series starts in January and will be in similar but not identical fabrics to my quilt. We’ll soak all fabrics and prewash so there won’t be any laundry surprises mixing the brights with white. Finishing kits will be offered that will include the side setting triangles, white sashing and those cute little cornerstones. The blocks went together easily and the quilt top would have been easier to put together if I hadn’t had so much help from Carla. She likes to sew with me, swatting at everything I hang on my design wall. I’m not sure if she’s trying to tell me what she likes or just wanting to spend quality time…
This is a picture of the top only – it’s off to be quilted tomorrow. I hope to have it hanging for our 4th anniversary in November.
