April Newsletter

Hello!  I hope everyone is well during these crazy times.  A big welcome to the many new customers of Quilting Confections who are making masks and scrub caps for our community.   When this effort is finished, I hope you will consider trying out our Learn to Quilt classes; you will soon find that it is a very rewarding hobby.  Quilters are a very generous group of people, like yourselves, and there are many people in our community who benefit from our many quilts.

Isn’t it wonderful to have a hobby that relieves some of the stress that we are experiencing during this pandemic?  As well, we are able to help others with our sewing; to make masks, scrub caps and bags.  It is good to be useful and use up some of that stashed fabric!  You are all doing such a great job!

Shopping

We are still closed to the public for in-person shopping, but you may order items by emailing info@quiltingconfections.com.  Calling the store at 519-250-8888 is an option, but please be aware that the phone line does tend to get busy.  When leaving a message, whether by email or Facebook, it is helpful to give us your phone number to keep track of the orders.  Curbside pick up of orders continues on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 – 2:00.  When picking up your order, give us a call or toot your horn so we know you are here; stay in your car and we will place your order on the table outside our door or in your trunk.  Thank you for keeping your “social distance”.  We update our sale shelves at the end of these busy days, so look to Facebook for our most recent post of numbered fabrics.

Square Dance BOM

You are more than welcome to pick up your monthly kit during this time; we are actually handing out April and May kits.  For anyone who does not want to pick up their kit, we will hold it until you can safely do so with no penalty.

Kits and Projects

If you are looking to sew something fun and in need of a new project, just let us know.  Perhaps we can put something together for you; or choose from our existing kits, we have a few options available.  Here are a few examples:

Three Bears

Shooting Star

Canadian Flag

Boardwalk

Forest Dance

Dream Big

Floral Flight

Classes

All of us at Quilting Confections really miss our classes and clubs; this is one of the best parts of being here!  If you have a cancelled class in March or April (and probably May), I can certainly refund your class fee, put it on a Gift Card, or simply wait until we can reschedule the class.

Gift Cards

We are now able to accept gift cards over the phone.  We will need the number printed on the back - please tear it up once it is used to avoid future confusion.

BYOB

We have suspended the bring your own bag program, since it is necessary to keep the orders organized for pick up.  Most of the orders are going out in recyclable/reusable paper bags.  Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Baby Lock Customers

You may also email us at info@quiltingconfections.com if you are having any issues with your machine.  We will do our best to help and we are still accepting appointments for service.

Thanks for your support, stay safe and I hope to see you all soon!

Heather
