Get your passport stamped at all 3 shops for a chance to win our grand prize – $100. gift card and a free class from each shop. We also have a prize basket put together from each of the 3 shops for second prize(s). There will be sales and treats and of course, our goody bags, which you’ll receive at your first stop.
At QC we also have a BYOB prize – Bring your own bag! You must have your bag with you at time of purchase to be entered in this draw.
But it’s a good one, so come prepared!
We have lots of classes on offer for the weeks ahead. When it’s too hot to be outside, come inside and sew with your quilting friends.
June 1 is demo day and it’s a fun one. Remember to bring your show & tell for a chance to win a quilty prize. And if you’re doing our Stonehenge Christmas Block of the Month, we’ll do a short demo on the templates. If you’re not already registered, check it out, it’s a beauty! First block kit will be ready in June.
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16 – are you ready? Are you giving your dad a quilt? Consider putting it in a matching pillow case.. Or is your dad a quilter who would like a gift card? More men are choosing quilting as a hobby and we don’t want to overlook it! And we also don’t want to share our “stuff”, but that’s another story.
The quilt show is fast approaching. I hope you’ll find time to join us on May 3, 4, & 5 at the WFCU Centre, 8787 McHugh St. We’ll be there, stop in and say hi.
There will be a scissor sharpener, so bring your scissors with you and have them sharpened while you shop. There will also be a tea room for lunch.
Mark you calendar for the upcoming shop hop – June 7 & 8. Details at www.shophop.ca.

Have you got an extensive stash or scrap basket? Heather Northrup has put together a monthly project she’s calling Charm School – each item is made with charm squares. You can choose to make something smaller or larger than her project, and you’ll learn a neat technique. Commit to all 6 classes or just one.
A new addition to our class lineup is Beautiful Blouse. Do you want to learn how to make the pattern adjustments and sew a beautiful cotton blouse that really fits you? This class covers 3 dates – you’ll learn how to adjust the pattern to fit your body, how to cut and sew the blouse, finishing the seams and adding buttonholes.
Look through our classes and I’m sure you’ll find something that pleases you. If you join us for a Friday morning class, you’re invited to stay for sit & sew, just keep sewing..you can stay til 6:00.
