Where do I begin? Raising up Quilting Confections has been so incredibly rewarding for me. We’ve grown together, all of us. From quilting acquaintances to great friends in just 10 short years. I couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments, and you know I wouldn’t hand it over to just anyone. I hope you’ll join us for our Open House on Sunday, December 31, (12:00 - 4:00) to welcome Heather and Grant Northrup to the helm. Maybe you have a fun story about a class or club to share, maybe about the day so-and-so fell off her rolling chair, or …
I feel like each one of you is a friend, and I thank you for that. I’m kind of retiring but not really, the best part is that I can still come to work here! And not take the laundry home!
Grant and Phil will be carrying on with our awesome machine service. Aren’t we lucky, what could be better than being married to the sewing machine service tech?
Our new Block of the Month is on display. As a bonus this year, Laura Coia will be offering videos demonstrating the construction of each BOM on her YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/SewVeryEasy. We will mail our block of the month for those out-of-towners who want to join in. If that’s you, give us a call and reserve with a credit card payment of $10 for registration and $40 for your first set of 4 blocks, including finishing instructions.
Same time and place! Saturday, January 6. We start at 10:30 sharp. Get in early to pour your coffee and check out the goodies. No turkey!
We enjoyed it so much last year, UFO challenge is on again in January. Show us your UFO (baby sized or larger), then bring it back to show us your finished quilt for a chance to win a $50 Gift card!
There are still spaces left in some of the clubs starting in January. Would you like to have an afternoon away once a month to spend with quilting friends, enjoying coffee and some stitching? Check out our club offerings, we’re having a lot of fun on club day. Check out our class list to see if there’s something there for you.
Sit & Sew is every Friday afternoon, 12:00 to 6:00.
